Mitch is a founding member of Burgess & Lamb. He graduated magna cum laude from Drury University in 1995 where he majored in history and political science. He then received his law degree from the University of Missouri where he was a published member of the Environmental Law and Policy Review. After law school, Mitch served as a law clerk to the Honorable Laura Denvir Stith of the Missouri Supreme Court, who was then a judge at the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Western District. Following his clerkship, Mitch worked for a Kansas City-based firm, concentrating on personal injury and mass tort/pharmaceutical litigation.

Since founding Burgess & Lamb in 2004, Mitch has been repeatedly recognized by his peers as one of the top plaintiff attorneys in the region. He has been named “Best of the Bar” by the Kansas City Business Journal and among Kansas and Missouri’s “Super Lawyers” for four years running (2008-2011).
